TEHRAN – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Saturday that creating hurdles in implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, commonly known as nuclear deal, will be detrimental to all sides.

Iran and the 5+1 group - the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany - finalized the text of the JCPOA in Vienna on July 14.

On Sunday, the United States, the European Union and Iran were expected to announce a series of measures to comply with the nuclear deal.

“The precise implementation of the JCPOA benefits all and disruption in its full implementation is detrimental to all. The sides to the nuclear talks should make efforts in fulfilling their commitments totally in order for all the seven countries gain benefits,” Rouhani said.

On October 13, the Iranian Parliament approved the details of the nuclear deal.

Rouhani also said that the relations between Iran and Germany have always been “friendly”.

He added that the two countries can expand cooperation in fighting terrorism and establishing peace and stability in the Mideast region.

Rouhani said that fight against terrorism requires all countries to be committed to fundamental principles and avoid double standards.

For his part, the German foreign minister said that he has traveled to Iran to revive bilateral ties.

Steinmeier said that the German activists in each field are interested in increasing relations with Iran.

He also said that it is essential to hold talks and make efforts in the campaign against terrorism.
